latest project...

I have waaaayyy too many projects, crafts, "things", I have been getting myself into. One thing I love to do though, is decorate my house. It's fun and I always have a new idea of something to do. Being that we are now in our new house, I have soooo many ideas! I have been trying to knock them out one a week or so but unfortunutely, budget restrictions don't always allow me to do what I really want. So I love when I come across an idea that doesn't cost much, but makes a big change to a room.(I think I got this idea from another blog) This mirror was a hand-me-down and wasn't really my style at all. I debated on whether to keep it or pass it on to my sister Erika (sorry, you missed out on this one!). My living room walls are grey, and I have several black and white frames and lamps with black/white shades. So, one can of spray paint from Lowes at $3.44, and I just got a brand new mirror for my living room that I LOVE!!! It's definitely more my style now!

finally moving on...

Well my friends, I am happy to announce that we will finally be moving into our house in the next weeks! Official move in date is set for June 5th, although it will take us a good week or so to move things in and get settled before we actually sleep there. I cannot tell you how excited I am to be in this house. It is my dream home, everything I could have asked for in a house, it is for me. AND, I will have my very own craft room! (so lots of crafting posts to come in the future!) It is tiny, but I will manage to cram all my supplies and sewing machine in there and probably never leave it! My husband is painting that room for me tonight, a wonderful shade of lilac. I wanted something cheerful and I just love purple.

So my home sweet home will actually be HOME very soon! And I don't think I will ever renovate another house again!!!

Here are a few current renovations pictures. Still several things to be done, but it won't be much longer! We are finally ALMOST done painting! That has been one of the longest projects. We still have to complete an entirely gutted bathroom, re-do the stairs (thanks to a sweet friend who is helping us out bigtime!), and then the new up and downstairs floors can be installed and we are on our way to moving things in!

My crazy sweet husband and I, for some reason, decided to move the new tub upstairs on our own. It was seriously a sight to see! At one point, he actually lowered me over the tub so I could slide down it to get to the bottom. That is one NARROW staircase!

So it has been fun, crazy and way too many decisions to make to renovate a house, but I just love this house so much! I can't wait to move in!

I have officially put blood, sweat, and tears into this place!
