playschool!

This week, Noah started his first week at Ortega Playschool! He has done so well! No tears at all, and his teachers say he is doing great. I am so proud of my big boy! I am so excited for him to make some new friends. He sits by a sweet little boy and 2 adorable little girls at his table. I am looking forward to him coming home talking about his new friends. For now, all he can tell me he does is play with cars and a firetruck. Although, yesterday he pointed to an "E" and an "O" on Adam's shirt and said exactly what they were. I have never taught him letters, so I'll have to ask his teachers about that! If they have already taught him letters, I'm impressed!

going to meet his teacher

1st day! He was really excited about his lunch box!
so sweet!

2nd day, being a ham! So handsome!

I think he is going to love school! Although I think he misses hanging out here at home with Hosea, Eva! He has asked me twice about him this week. He knows who his bestie is I think!

lately...

We have been super busy lately, getting ready for Naomi to come, doing housework, etc. Lot's of fun things going on.
Last week was my mom's birthday so we took Noah to the cemetary to take flowers. He insisted on smelling everyone's flowers! He was so cute though!

This week we got Noah a toddler bed! He slept in it for the first time last night, and did pretty well, but woke up at 5 and wanted to sleep with Mommy and Daddy for the rest of the morning. Tonight he was much easier to put to sleep, so I think he is going to do great! So it looks like the crib will be moving over to Naomi's room! Which is great that we don't have to buy another crib. He insisted on several toys and books in the bed. I couldn't get a good picture of him actually laying in it because he was just wanting to jump the whole time!

getting snug in my new bed!

Today, we took Noah to his "Meet and Greet" for playschool and met his teacher, saw his classroom and let him play a little bit in his room. He was pretty shy, but I am praying he will do great tomorrow! I am nervous, emotional and wondering if I am crazy for putting him in school so young, but I think if he likes it, it will be really good for him. I want him to learn to play well with others, and they are going to teach him so many new things! I am looking forward to tomorrow and hoping I don't shed too many tears!
heading to Meet & Greet!

We are preparing for Naomi's arrival. Her room is almost complete. I have lots of pictures to share once it is finished. Adam re-finished 2 dressers we bought at an estate sale and painted them hot pink and they look amazing! I love them! So more to come on her room soon...

something to chew on...

"Is anyone thirsty? Come and drink -- even if you have no money! Come, take your choice of wine or milk -- it's all free! Why spend your money on food that does not give you strength? Why pay for food that does you no good? Listen, and I will tell you where to get food that is good for the soul! "Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, for the life of your soul is at stake. I am ready to make an everlasting covenant with you. I will give you all the mercies and unfailing love that I promised to David. He displayed my power by being my witness and a leader among the nations. You also will command the nations, and they will come running to obey, because I, the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, have made you glorious." Seek the LORD while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near. Let the people turn from their wicked deeds. Let them banish from their minds the very thought of doing wrong! Let them turn to the LORD that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. "My thoughts are completely different from yours," says the LORD. "And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.  "The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it. You will live in joy and peace. The mountains and hills will burst into song, and the trees of the field will clap their hands! Where once there were thorns, cypress trees will grow. Where briers grew, myrtles will sprout up. This miracle will bring great honor to the LORD's name; it will be an everlasting sign of his power and love." Isaiah 55
