I got an order this past week for a baby shower gift. I made this adorable set! She requested Dr. Seuss theme, to go with the baby's room. I love how everything turned out!
(horrible photography skills, she was here to pick up the order and I had forgotton to take pictures!)

Then, this week I made this gift for my sister to give to a friend who is due with a baby girl soon!
I'm a little late but here is what I worked on last month for Valentines Day.
-Craft for Daddy
I cut out the letters "WE {heart} YOU" on my Cricut and let Noah color on them. I made the mistake of letting him push the button on my Cricut to get it started cutting, and now he has become obsessed with touching it, so it had to be hidden from his sight.
We also made homemade chocolate chip cookies for Dad.

We had Daddy's surprises waiting on the table when he came home from work.
I made this silly craft for Adam because I am always taking his socks. So he got a big bag of socks! It says "we make a great pair".
We didn't do anything too romantic for Valentines Day. We went out for lunch with the kids and for dinner- our meal was chili! Adam had been wanting me to make it for a while, I had already bought all the ingredients, so we just went with it. The best part for me was the cornbread! Yummo!

I made this shirt for Noah...it turned out pretty cute. It's a pick-up truck with hearts in the back.
Lastly-we got Noah the Jesus Storybook Bible for a v-day gift. He loves it, I love it, if you don't have one for your kiddo, you should!
I'm a sucker for Valentine's Day! Actually, any holiday for that matter. It's a chance to decorate and give a gift, which I enjoy doing.
This year, with Noah being in preschool, we did Valentines for his classmates and teachers.
I got this idea from Eva on her valentine's post from last year. I've been pretty excited about doing it this year! I think they turned out really cute. The project was very simple. We broke up several crayons, and them baked them for 15 mintues in a heartshaped mold. I then attached them to the print out and then tied them onto celophane bags with a few conversation hearts.
I also wanted to make something for his two teachers who he adores. They are so sweet to him, so I wanted them to know I was thankful for them loving on my baby.
I made heart shaped brownies and filled the bag with chocolate and the brownie.

covered clothes pens with some red paper...
and attached this cute print out to the brown paper bag.
I have been trying to be productive lately. Especially on the mornings when Noah goes to preschool. We have been super busy but I have managed to fit in some craft time.
I made this key fob for my sis Erika...
bibs and burpcloths for my sweet niece Norah
but the most exciting!! Finally finishing this piece of furniture! I have been wanting to redo it for years. I really love the finished result.
I don't know if you can tell, but I spilled paint all over my hand. :)
Also, last week I told you about some frames I picked up at an estate sale. I have been wanting to do a frame wall for a long time as well, but hadn't collected enough frames. So another house project finally completed!!

I have no picture to prove it, but during this painting process, I spray painted by left hand and wedding bands with white spray paint. Apparently I am a very messy painter.
Lastly, this is the bookshelf I picked up at an estate sale last week. It was intended for Naomi's room, but I need to move some things around in there for it to fit, so it currently it happy in my living room. =)
and the hydrangeas were a sweet gift from my hubby yesterday. He's the best.
So I have obviously not been keeping up with my Crafty Thursday posts. I can't even keep up with my blog reading like I would like, much less do any blogging of my own. BUT, this week I am on a mission! I have 2 projects I have been wanting to complete since moving into our house. One is this piece of furniture:
As you can see I started experimenting with it, only to be seriously let down at my color choice. So I'm going to give it a go again, and go with a completely different color and see how it turns out! What do you think??
Also, these guys will hopefully be turned into something great this week as well! Pending that my children take wonderful naps at the same time. I'll keep you posted of the final results!
Lastly, check out this piece of furniture I picked up from an estate sale this weekend. I L.O.V.E. it! It was intended for Naomi's room as a book shelf, but now I'm not sure it will fit. So it may end up in the play room as more storage.
So here's to a wonderful home improvement week for me! I'm going to go get to work...
